PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. -

After years of talks, the new Phillipsburg High School is about to become a reality.

Officials say the contractor has been given the go-ahead to begin construction on the $80.5 million building.

Superintendent George Chando says the school in Lopatcong Township will have modern science labs and state-of-the-art technology.

The school is expected to open in September 2016.
