PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. -

Investigators have found the cause of a fire that damaged a home in Warren Co., N.J., Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters were called shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday to 690 Barrymore St. in Phillipsburg for a fire that started on the home's second floor balcony.

No one was injured.

An investigation by Phillipsburg police and the Warren County prosecutor and fire marshal's offices revealed the fire was sparked by carelessly discarded smoking material, police said.
