Prosecutors have charged the former treasurer of a Hunterdon County, New Jersey, youth sports league with embezzling tens of thousands of dollars.
The Hunterdon County prosecutor's office said it was notified by the Flemington-Raritan Baseball League's directors that they found discrepancies after an audit of the organization's finances.
Authorities allege the league's treasurer, Kevin Lockrey, embezzled more than $100,000.
Lockrey, 42, of Flemington, was arrested Thursday on charges of theft by deception. He was released after posting $50,000 bail.
