LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. -

Call it the day the music died in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

An application to convert Lambertville's former Baptist church into a music hall has been withdrawn from the city board of adjustment.

The plan would have converted the church into a 500-seat music hall and 130-seat restaurant.

The plan ran into heavy opposition from residents, business owners and officials.

They say there is not enough parking to accommodate a project of this size.

Representatives of the music hall say they are heading back to the drawing board.
