New Jersey's bid to legalize sports betting appears to be a losing gamble.
A judge has ruled federal law prohibits sports wagering in New Jersey and 45 other states.
The decision nixes a law signed by Governor Chris Christie to allow sports betting at
Atlantic City casinos and horse racing tracks.
The NFL, NHL, NBA, Major League Baseball and NCAA were all involved in the lawsuit against New Jersey.
The state is expecting to appeal the ruling.
