HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -

Officials in Hackettstown, New Jersey are continuing to deal with a pair of sinkholes plaguing the town.

The sinkholes coincided with water main breaks on College View Drive and Ferris Place.

The sinkhole in the 100 block of College View Drive opened up on Thursday, Jan. 30. It eventually grew to cover an area of 40 feet before stabilizing.

Another sinkhole opened up on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in the 100 block of Ferris Place.

Officials say that sinkhole on Ferris Place is expected to be repaired during the week. A time-frame remains uncertain for the College View Drive sinkhole, which officials say will involve a more complicated process to repair.

So far, no homes have been evacuated, but there has been damage to private property, including part of a resident's driveway that collapsed on College View Drive.
