An Oxford Township, N.J., man was indicted Wednesday on charges stemming from an incident that occured in December 2012.

William Wydner has been charged with criminal restraint and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

After an arrest is made in New Jersey, the prosecutor presents the case to a county grand jury, which decides whether to indict the accused.

Warren County Prosecutor Richard Burke said the incident Wydner is charged with occurred on Dec. 1, 2012, in Mansfield Township.

Wydner had threatened a woman with a gun , telling her he would kill her if she left the house. She was also locked in the basement of the home by Wydner.

Burke said Wydner was released on bail following his arrest, adding he sees no reason to reinstate bail at this time.
