Food stamp cuts take effect
More than 47-million Americans are seeing their food stamp benefits slashed.
A temporary benefit from the 2009 economic stimulus package officially expired Friday.
As a result, the average family of four can expect to get about $36 less each month.
And Congress is currently negotiating even more cuts.
Meantime Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey is pushing legislation to maintain the benefits that ran out Friday for another year.
