The governors of Pennsylvania and New Jersey are offering their thoughts and prayers to the victims of Friday's school shooting in Connecticut.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett has ordered all state flags to be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims and their families. They'll remain at half-staff until sundown on Tuesday.
Corbett and his wife Susan also offered their condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
Corbett said in a statement: "As parents, we can imagine nothing more horrific than such a violent, senseless act committed against innocent children."
In New Jersey, Gov. Chris Christie said the victims and their families are in his thoughts and prayers -- and in the thoughts and prayers of the people of New Jersey.
"Ten days before Christmas, it's unthinkable that you send your children to school and they're in harms way," Christie said.
