CORNWALL, Pa. -

A volunteer firefighter has been killed in a crash while responding to an accident in Lebanon County.

Bruce Sensenig was heading to the Quentin Fire Company in response to an accident on Route 72 around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Sensenig apparently lost control amid heavy rain, and his car was struck by a minivan on Route 322, just east of Spangler Road, authorities said.

Sensenig, 20, died at the scene, said Chief Bruce Harris, Cornwall Police Dept.

The other driver was last reported to be hospitalized in good condition.
