Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett is wasting no time getting his campaign for re-election up and running, including a stop in the Lehigh Valley.

Little less than a year away from the 2014 election day, Corbett, accompanied by Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley and first lady Susan Corbett, will make an appearance Friday in Allentown.

According to the governor's campaign, the stop is part of the Corbett-Cawley Promises Kept Re-Election Tour, with events in every region of the state.

Corbett, a Republican, appeared Wednesday morning at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, his home base.

After that, he flew to Pittston in Luzerne County for an afternoon rally at a construction company that specializes in pipelines.

Thursday finds the governor at an American Legion Post in northeast Philadelphia and at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Montgomery County.

Corbett plans a tour stop at B. Braun Manufacturing in Allentown Friday afternoon.
