Pennsylvania's jobless rate has dipped below seven percent, according to a state Department of Labor report released Friday.
The seasonally-adjusted jobless rate fell to 6.9 percent in December, down four-tenths of a percent from November, according to the report.
That's the lowest level it's been in nearly five years, and it's down a full percentage point from the same time last year.
But the report also said more people left the work force in December.
New Jersey's unemployment rate dropped a half-point in December to 7.3- percent.
