A search of a park and the surrounding area was conducted Friday for a woman who has been missing for the past six weeks, police said.

Janice M. Rubendall, of Lower Providence Twp., Montgomery Co., was last seen by her father on Jan. 4, police said.

Rubendall's car, a white Chrysler PT Cruiser, was towed from the Riverview Condominium complex in West Norriton Township, near the Betzwood Park, on Jan. 26.

Police on Friday conducted a five-hour search around the park near the Route 422 overpass, an area police said Rubendall, 25, was known to frequent before her disappearance. They said they found nothing relating to her disappearance.

Rubendall is described as a white woman standing 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds. She has a tattoo on her left bicep showing a mustang horse and another across her back that  reads "CREED."
