The head of a global drug-maker whose US headquarters are based in Montgomery County is stepping down.

Teva Pharmaceutical says its President and CEO Dr. Jeremy Levin is leaving.

No reason was given for the departure.

The Executive Vice-President will serve as interim CEO.

The company has previously said it plans to cut thousands of jobs.

And earlier this year the drug-maker announced it will close its Bucks County plant in 2017.
