The EPA is doing some digging in Bucks County.
The Environmental Protection Agency will remove and replace contaminated soil at the site of the former Chem-Fab factory in Doylestown.
It was the site of toxic waste storage and disposal.
Officials say they soil is contaminated with several chemicals including TCE, PCE and chromium-6.
The EPA's action doesn't address groundwater contamination but officials say removing the soil the was the most pressing issue.
The project is expected to take seven weeks and cost more than $2 million through the EPA's Superfund program.
