DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -

The Environmental Protection Agency says it will begin the process of excavating a hazardous waste site in Bucks County next week.

The EPA declared the former Chem Fab facility in Doylestown a "superfund" site in 2009.

That means it's an abandoned or uncontrolled place with hazardous waste.

The EPA says it'll remove the contaminated soil.

Sediment testing is set to begin next week but could be delayed by a possible government shutdown.
