Former Philly cop arrested in attempt to lure 8-year-old girl

PHILADELPHIA -

Police in Philadelphia said they've arrested one of their own after he attempted to lure an eight-year old girl into his vehicle.

Retired police inspector Leo Haley tried to lure the girl into his car on October 17 in the 7000 block of Voight Road in Philadelphia, said police, who added that Haley, 72, has a prior record and is a registered sex offender.

Haley served nine months last year on child porn charges before being released on probation.

Haley now faces charges of unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, luring a child into a vehicle and harassment.
