LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP., Pa. -

The K-Mart in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County will be closing its doors for good.

Big "store closing" signs are now hanging outside and a liquidation sale started on Sunday.

Company officials say the store will officially close in early September.

They say the closure comes as K-Mart tries to reduce its expenses.

The store has 65 employees.

Eligible employees will receive severance and be able to apply for positions at other local K-Mart or Sears locations.
