HILLTOWN TWP., Pa. -

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is nixing plans for a new high school in Bucks County.

The Archdiocese says it will not build a new Lansdale Catholic Regional High School in Hilltown Township.

The plans were first announced in 2007.

The Archdiocese is citing financial challenges in its decision.

The Archdiocese says it's trying to improve its financial situation by selling and marketing several real estate holdings including the land for this project.
