Increased drunk driving enforcement efforts on the night before Thanksgiving led to several arrests in Chester County.

State police conducted roving DUI patrols throughout the county on Wednesday and stopped 89 motorists, seven of whom were arrested for driving under the influence, police said.

Troopers also issued 12 citations and 10 warnings to drivers for various summary traffic violations.

Police warned drivers in advance of their stepped up efforts to crack down on drunk drivers on Thanksgiving Eve, which they have labeled "Black Wednesday" because of it being the busiest bar night of the year.
