Decomposed body found at construction site in Montgomery County
Location in wooded area near Pa. Turnpike's Northeast Extension
Some construction workers made a grisly discovery in Montgomery County on Thursday.
A decomposed body was found at a construction site in Towamencin Township around 11:20 a.m., state police said.
The skeletal remains were located near Forty Foot Road and Sumneytown Pike, in a wooded area near the Pennsylvania Turnpike's Northeast Extension.
State police said there's no determination of an age or gender of the remains, which appeared to be just a skull and bones.
An initial examination by the coroner determined that the person appeared to have been wearing Guess jeans, a Ralph Lauren shirt and had extensive dental work and a heart condition that appeared to have required chest surgery, said police, adding that further investigation is needed to determine the person's identity and cause and manner of death.
Anyone who may be able to identify the remains is asked to contact Tpr. Barry Bertolet at the state police station in Skippack at 610-410-7844 or 610-584-1250.
