Fmr. Army Ranger declares candidacy for Congress
It wasn't too long ago that Bucks County Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick was reelected.
But another challenger has already jumped into the fray.
Democrat Kevin Strouse has announced his candidacy for next year's 8th District race.
Strouse is a former Army Ranger who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Bensalem resident also worked at the CIA for eight years including six at the agency's counterterrorism center.
Fitzpatrick, a Republican, beat another Democrat, attorney Kathy Boockvar last fall.
Fitzpatrick beat another Army vet incumbent Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy to win the seat in 2010.
