A Montgomery County pastor and a mortgage broker are each facing up to 180 years in prison for a housing scam that involved his parishioners.

Forty-seven-year-old pastor Michael Wilkerson of Pottstown and mortgage broker Denise Haines, 43, of Birdsboro, were convicted of mortgage fraud Tuesday.

Wilkerson's wife Joyce and Lee Garell have pleaded guilty.

Federal prosecutors say the Wilkersons recruited their parishioners at New Millennium Life Restoration Fellowship in Spring Twp. to fill out mortgage applications.

Parishioners were offered at least $15,000 each.

Working with Haines and Garell  -- a real estate broker--prosecutors say the Wilkersons were able to get home loans worth more than $6 million.

Sentencing is expected in the spring.
