TELFORD, Pa. -

Police are investigating the abduction and rape of a 14-year-old girl.

The crime happened on a Saturday evening in late May in Telford, Montgomery County.

The girl was running in the area of West Reliance Road when police said she was approached by a man driving a dark-colored construction van.

The man called to the girl from the van but she ignored him and continued running, police said.

A short distance up the road, the man pulled over and grabbed the girl, forcing her into the van.

He drove for approximately one minute before he stopped and raped her, police said.

He then drove her back to the area of the abduction and let her go.

The victim suffered a minor face injury as a result of the incident, police said.

The man is described as being white and approximately 30 to 35 years old.

The van is described as being blue or dark colored, with blackened out rear windows and swing open doors.

The interior of the van was dirty and possibly used for construction or other work.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
