A man who robbed a bank in Chester County on Tuesday may have struck before, police said.

The holdup happened a few minutes before noon at the Phoenixville Federal Bank at 120 Main St. in Phoenixville.

The robber, with his face concealed by his jacket collar, threatened bank employees with a black revolver while demanding money from a teller, police said. The robber then fled on foot south on Main Street.

Investigators said they believe the same man robbed the Phoenixville Federal branch on the morning of Feb. 20. During that holdup, the robber did not show a weapon but implied he had a handgun.

The robber is described as a white man in his 20s with a thin build and standing between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He has dark hair. At the time of Tuesday's robbery, he was wearing a black fleece sweatshirt with a hood, a red baseball cap and tan/white skateboard-style sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Phoenixville Police Department at 610-933-1180.

Phoenixville Federal is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the bank robber.
