Quakertown Borough passes 2013 budget

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. -

Quakertown Borough Council officially adopted the budget for next year during Wednesday night's council meeting and rang out their last council meeting of the year by preparing for 2013.

The budget passed unanimously by council which, once again, did not raise taxes for the borough residents.

Property tax continues to stand at a very low 1.625 millage rate, setting the average property tax for a resident of Quakertown at $31.

Council also approved next year's regular meeting dates of January 2, February 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, November 6, and December 4, 2013. All dates are Wednesdays.

Workshop meeting dates were approved for January 28, February 25, March 25, April 22, May 20, June 24, July 22, August 26, September 23, October 28, and November 25. 2013. All dates are Mondays.

All meeting are to be held in Council Chambers, second floor of Borough Hall, 35 N. Third Street, Quakertown.
