QUAKERTOWN -

A residential fire that broke out Friday night has been ruled accidental, according to Quakertown police.

The fire broke out around 9:05 p.m. in the attic of a duplex at 306-308 Franklin Street.

Both sides of the duplex were evacuated while crews doused the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Police say residents on one side of the duplex have yet to return due to smoke and water damage.

Residents on the other side have been allowed to return.
