QUAKERTOWN, Pa. -

A World War II veteran is getting a free ride.

Clair Boatman of Allentown picked up his car Wednesday morning at the AAMCO in Quakertown.

AAMCO repaired his car for free!

AAMCO is doing this for 50 veterans as part of its 50 Cars in 50 States initiative.

It's part of the 50th anniversary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Clair earned a Purple Heart while fighting in the Pacific Theatre of World War II.

oThe condition of his car and his finances made it tough to get around.
