Armed robbers invaded Hatfield Township home
Federal government offers reward up to $10,000
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of armed gunmen who participated in a home invasion and robbery early Thursday morning in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County.
The reward is being offered by the Philadelphia office of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
“Individuals who pursue a criminal path of armed robberies and home invasions threaten the safety of our communities," said Essam Rabadi, ATF special agent in charge.
"ATF is committed to investigating and removing those violent predators from our streets. We ask the public to provide any information that would aid investigators in identifying and arresting these violent home invaders responsible for the armed robbery.”
The armed robbery occurred at about 6 a.m. Thursday in a home in the 1400 block of Leas Way in the township.
It involved the theft of valuables, firearms and a silver-colored, BMW 525i station wagon.
The vehicle was recovered at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday in the 7900 block of Cedar Brook Avenue, Philadelphia., by the Philadelphia Police Department.
The joint investigation is being conducted by the ATF Violent Crime Task Force and the Hatfield Township Police Department.
Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance with any information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the armed robbery.
