EAST ROCKHILL TWP., Pa. -

There were some tense moments in Bucks County early Tuesday when an armed man threatened two others in his home.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. in the 600 block of Campus Drive in East Rockhill Twp.

Pennridge Regional Police said 49-year-old John Jones threatened two others at his home and reportedly had a shotgun.

A police officer was able to make contact with Jones who was talking through a second floor window. The officer talked Jones into coming out of the house, and he was taken into custody.

Police removed a shotgun, rifle and two handguns from the home. They found a chair barricading the back door, and a chair near the front door, indicating it may have been barricaded as well.

The Pennridge High School and Pennridge North Middle School were placed in lockdown for a while Tuesday morning until Jones was taken into custody, police said.

Jones was charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

He was arraigned and bail was set at $10,000.
