DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -

The Central Bucks School Board has rescheduled a vote on a tentative contract agreement with the teachers union for Sept. 9.

The school board initially planned to vote on the tentative agreement with the Central Bucks Education Association at its Tuesday meeting.

But that meeting was cancelled. Several board members had scheduling conflicts, so the board would have lacked a quorum.

The next meeting is 7:30 p.m. Sept.  9.

The rescheduling has no impact on the Sept. 2 start of the new school year, according to district officials.

The Central Bucks Education Association represents the more than 1,200 members of the professional staff in Central Bucks School District.
