Crane operator charged in Philadelphia building collapse
There are new developments tot in the Philadelphia building collapse that left six dead and 14 others hurt.
According to our news partner WPVI, the man who was operating a piece of heavy equipment that led to the collapse on 22nd and Market streets will be charged with six counts of involuntary manslaughter.
He has been identified as 42-year-old Sean Benschop.
Police tell WPVI that Benschop tested positive for marijuana on Friday.
The news comes hours after Mayor Michael Nutter told reporters that the city will be changing its demolition policies.
So far two lawsuits have been filed and more are expected to come.
