POTTSTOWN, Pa. -

Five people have been arrested for their roles in an alleged drug ring operating in Montgomery County, including at government-subsidized housing, authorities said.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said on Wednesday that authorities busted a ring that had been headed by Edward Tillman at locations in Pottstown, Wyncote and Philadelphia.

Authorities said Tillman -- along with Anisha Harris, Johnathon Jackson, Melvin Hamilton and Teresa Hiller -- conspired in the sale of heroin, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine in Montgomery County and Philadelphia.

Police said drugs and other evidence were recovered from: Bright Hope Village in the 400 block of West King Street in Pottstown; an apartment in the 8000 block of Limekiln Pike in Wyncote; and Days Inn motel in the 4000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia.

According to police, Tillman's drug ring had been operating since at least April 2013, primarily through the government-subsidized housing complex of Bright Hope Village in Montgomery County.
