A fire caused extensive damage to the roof of a Chester County high school.

The fire broke out at around 2 p.m. Saturday in solar panels on the roof of Owen J. Roberts High School in South Coventry Township.

Firefighters quickly put out the fire and no one was hurt.

Officials say the fire, which was above the cafeteria, caused at least $50,000 in damage.

It's not expected to affect school on Monday.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
