Fire in substation caused power outage in Chester County, officials say

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. -

Officials in Chester County say a fire caused a power outage that lasted several hours.

It happened Wednesday night in Phoenixville.

Officials say there was a fire in a substation on Bridge Street, and several thousand Exelon customers were without power for a few hours.

Residents reported getting power back shortly before midnight.
