Gardner is wanted for the May 7 armed robbery at Lansdale Pawn Shop in the 200 block of N. Broad Street in the borough.
The suspected entered the store and handed the owner a note demanding cash and gold. The suspect had his hand inside a long duffel bag, containing a long barrel that was pointed at the shop owner, who believed was a rifle.
The suspect forced the shop owner to hand over about $600 in cash and $28,000 in jewelry.
The suspect departed the store on foot a few minutes before police arrived at 11:14 a.m. that day.
Police identified Gardner as the suspect through surveillance videos and digital records. They also learned he had legally purchased a shotgun a month before the robbery. Police said he also may have cased the place several days before the robbery.
