DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -

A Bucks County man is facing charges he hacked a former girlfriend's computer for years.

Police said Joseph Tarr -- a computer technician at Pennsbury School District -- remotely accessed his ex-girlfriend's computer.

He was able to record her with a webcam --including conversations -- more than a thousand times before getting caught, police said.

According to court paperwork, 40-year-old Tarr of the 800 block of Heckler Hollow Road in Doylestown, had been accessing the victim's computer since 2008 when he built the computer for her.

He's been charged with unlawful use of a computer, stalking and computer trespassing. He is free on bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 21.
