NORRISTOWN, Pa. -

A man who bought the gun that was used to kill a Montgomery County police officer has been denied in his bid for a reduced sentence.

Michael Henry was sentenced in August to 20 to 66 years in prison for buying a gun that was used to kill Plymouth Township officer Brad Fox in 2010.

Henry filed a motion to have his sentence reduced but on Tuesday a judge denied the request.

On September 13, 2012, Officer Bradley Michael Fox was murdered while pursing Andrew Thomas, who fled from a hit and run accident.

Investigators say Thomas ambushed Fox along and shot Officer Fox to death.

Thomas then shot and killed himself.

Thomas couldn't buy a firearm because he had a criminal record.
