Man steals checking info from a Philadelphia Eagle
A Philadelphia man is facing theft charges after police said he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from one of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Security guard Robert Von Ryan stole more than $225,000 from Eagles offensive lineman Todd Herremans, federal officials said.
Ryan, 37, worked for a security company and was responsible for watching the players' cars in the lot of the team hotel in Philadelphia.
Ryan stole Herrermans' checking account number and routing number from his vehicle and allegedly stole the money to pay bills and make purchases, authorities said.
Ryan is not in custody, but will soon be given a court date. He faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.
