Montgomery County pastor sentenced in mortgage scheme

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. -

A pastor from Montgomery County has been sentenced to more than 14 years in prison for a mortgage scheme.

According to authorities, Michael Wilkerson, of Pottstown, fraudulently obtained loans worth more than $6 million when he was a pastor at New Millennium Life Restoration Fellowship, which has churches in Phoenixville and Spring City.

He's also been ordered to pay more than $1 million in restitution.
