Authorities say a man charged in the stabbing death of a homeless veteran outside a train station in Bucks County recently tried to kill a fellow prison inmate.
Dale Wakefield stabbed the prisoner in the face and arms with a ball-point pen, according to court documents filed Tuesday.
Wakefield, 21, of Doylestown, has been charged with attempted murder in the Feb. 24 incident.
Wakefield was already behind bars without bail on a first-degree murder charge stemming from the July 3 slaying of 71-year-old George Mohr outside the Doylestown train station.
Prosecutors allege Wakefield stabbed the Army veteran more than 70 times with a pocket knife, causing injuries so severe that rescuers thought Mohr was struck by a train.
It was Doylestown's first homicide in more than 40 years.
