UPPER PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa. -

A motorcyclist was killed when he missed a curve in Montgomery County late Wednesday morning, police said.

The accident happened just before 11 a.m. at Buckwalter and South Township Line roads in Upper Providence Township.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve, hit a concrete abutment and guard rail and was thrown from his bike, police said. No other vehicles were involved.

The driver's name has not been released.

The accident forced officials to close Township Line Drive between Rittenhouse and Buckwalter for several hours while police investigated.
