Philadelphia's ban on e-cigarettes in public places is now in effect.

Starting Tuesday, e-cigarettes are banned from workplaces, bars, and restaurants.

The legislation also prohibits the sale of e-cigarettes to minors.

Businesses caught seillling e-cigarettes or refilling cartridges to minors will be hit with a $250 fine.

Back in May, Philadelphia City Council unanimously voted to treat e-cigarettes like regular tobacco cigarettes.
