Quakertown Council approves Economic Development Liquor License Request
The Quakertown Council approved a request for an Economic Development Liquor License within the Borough at their brief meeting on Wednesday night.
Council opened a public hearing prior to the regular business meeting for any community members to express their opinion regarding the request. Although Council advertised for the hearing, no community members were present to speak on the issue.
John Schlupp made the request for the Economic Development Liquor License to Council for his business located at 117 W. Broad Street.
According to Council President L. James Roberts, Jr., this license is specific to Schlupp and his address. If Schlupp decides to eventually sell his property or business, the liquor license will not be transferred with the sale.
Council approved this request by a unanimous vote.
