Speed skater Chris Creveling of Bucks County was part of a four-man U.S. team that won silver Friday at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
The U.S. scored a silver medal after scoring second in the 5,000-meter short track speed skating relay.
It was the first Olympic medal for Creveling.
The team from Russia won the gold.
Craveling, a 2005 graduate of Palisades High School in Kintnersville, started his career as an inline skater, but transitioned to ice in 2007.
The U.S. team also included Eddy Alvarez, J.R. Celski and Jordan Malone.
The win ended a medal drought for American speed skaters in Sochi.
The long track team failed to get on the podium in 12 events, and the U.S. had been shut out in the first seven events at short track.
The silver means the U.S. has medaled in the event at the last three Olympic Winter Games.
