A woman who was driving during the height of a strong storm in Montgomery County Sunday night had to be rescued from high water.

It happened around 11 p.m. on West High Street in Pottstown.

Officials say the heavy rain from the storm caused flooding on the road and a woman became trapped after trying to drive through it.

The water came all the way up to the headlights on the car.

Rescue crews were able to make their way to the car and carry the driver to safety.
