A Montgomery County school was put on lockdown Thursday afternoon after students mistook a hooded jogger for a gunman.
Officials say West Broad Street Elementary in Franconia Township was locked down around 1:40 p.m.
Police say the students on the playground thought the jogger had a mask and a gun.
The school eventually lifted the lockdown... and had a normal afternoon dismissal.
Police and school officials said they have to take all threats seriously.
West Broad Street Elementary is in the Souderton School District.
