A new science center is coming to Bucks County Community College.

Officials with the college braved the gray skies Thursday morning to break ground for the building.

The new space will house the biology and chemistry departments.

The college says it will have eleven science labs, a computer lab and several lounge spaces for students.

And, fitting for a science building, officials say it will have a high-tech, energy-efficient heating and cooling system.

The school says it will take about two years to finish the project.
