Officials in the Palisades School District in Bucks County have approved a strip search policy.
The policy says strip searches are subject to stricter standards than regular searches.
They're only allowed if the number or nature of the items sought present a higher danger than other kinds of contraband.
The reasons for a strip search must also be stronger than those for a regular search.
The new directive follows a 2009 U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the matter.
