Police: Man Stabbed Hour Or So Before Call To 911

Victim, 33, Found Lying In Hallway Of Apartment Building

READING, Pa. - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing of a man Thursday morning.

Officers got the call shortly after 9:00 from the 300 block of North 6th Street in Reading, but they said the 33-year-old victim may have been stabbed an hour or so earlier.

He was found by a tenant lying in a common hallway of an apartment building. Police said the front door of the building had been forced open.

The victim, whose name police are not releasing, was rushed to the hospital. Police had no information on his condition.

They also have no suspects or motive for the stabbing.

Police maintained the building as a crime scene for several hours while they interviewed witnesses and collected evidence.
